The ultimate goal of the CounteR solution is to equip law enforcement agencies, Internet providers, and social media platforms with cutting-edge radicalisation detection software. This tool aims to detect, track, and prevent radicalisation, offering an early-warning system to identify potential radical content and curb the spread of radicalisation, ultimately preventing life-threatening terrorist attacks.
The CounteR project is focused on developing software that quickly and accurately identifies and takes down terrorist content online while ensuring privacy protection and data anonymization. This radicalisation detection software is crucial for maintaining security while respecting individual privacy.
Funded by the European Commission’s H2020 Programme, the CounteR project spans 36 months with a total funding of €6,994,812 EUR. The initiative involves 19 organizations across 11 EU Member States, including Bulgaria, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Malta, Portugal, Romania, and Spain.
